Bristorm Barrier

Bristorm barrier is developed from Hill and Smith Inc's Zoneguard temporary highway barrier. Ballasted with water and pinned to the ground, the Bristorm barrier offers a fast and flexible way to secure a site from ramming attack.

The inherent strength required for traditional security barriers to be effective results in rigid structures that are hazardous to normal road users. The normal result is that additional safety measures need to be introduced.

Bristorm barrier can be deployed quickly and bolted in place before filling with the ballast water. The addition of water enables the Bristorm barrier to absorb perpendicular impacts. Since the water is added after the barrier is fixed into position the need for heavy lifting equipment is avoided.

The Bristorm barrier requires relatively small foundations and is only Bristorm barrier is 800mm high and 700mm wide at the base. A standard section is 12m although smaller lengths of 8m and 4m are possible.
